Impact Management Group’s Clint Reed To Lead Rubio Presidential Effort In Iowa
A Little Rock firm and one of its key principals will have a visible and active role in the GOP Presidential primary.
On Friday, Impact Management Group announced that partner Clint Reed will serve as Florida Sen. Marco Rubio’s Iowa campaign director.
The Des Moines Register reports:
Clint Reed, 38, who’s been tapped by Marco Rubio as his paid Iowa campaign director, has experience with political campaigns in Southern states.
He’s a partner at Impact Management Group, a public affairs firm with offices in Little Rock, Ark., and Baton Rouge, La. He’s a former southeast regional political director for the Republican National Committee and former executive director of the Republican Party of Arkansas.
Reed managed the Bush-Cheney campaign’s re-election efforts in Arkansas in 2003-04.
Reed, a polling partner and frequent contributor to Talk Business & Politics, said, “I’m thrilled to be a part of Marco Rubio’s team. His vision for America and his ability to expand the electorate makes it easy for me to make the sacrifices it takes to help him win. Marco Rubio is the future of the Republican Party.”
Rubio was one of the big winners of the first two GOP Presidential debates. Nationally, he has seen his numbers rise in the past several weeks.
But, according to the Des Moines Register, he’s lagged in Iowa, where the crucial Iowa Caucus will kick off the official voting season first on February 1, 2016.
