Bob Steel Returns To Cumulus Media On Arkansas Radio Network
Former Little Rock news director and on-air radio personality Bob Steel has been hired as affiliate relations director for the Arkansas Radio Network.
“I think Bob is a great fit to grow our affiliate network. He joins us to ensure our existing affiliates continue to receive the quality news and information service we provide and to explore opportunities for growth,” said Keith Liesmann, VP and Market Manager for Cumulus Media-Little Rock. “I am confident Bob’s knowledge of the Arkansas Radio Network coupled with his background in news and advertising will greatly benefit our radio partners and advertisers.”
Steel, who once hosted the morning show on the ARN Little Rock affiliate KARN from 2007 to 2014, owns a small public relations firm.
“I am tremendously excited to work with the affiliates and to seek opportunities to expand the network,” Steel said. “I am thrilled to be back at Cumulus-Little Rock. I know how good these folks are at what they do and I am extremely proud to be a part of this team again.”
Steel’s background in news includes stints at KATV and KARK in Little Rock where he served as news director. He has also worked in advertising at the state’s two largest agencies working as a public relations account executive at CJRW and as a media relations consultant at Stone Ward advertising.
