Enjoy the beauty of the fall in Northwest Arkansas during the 60th Midwest Groundwater Conference on Oct. 14-15 at the world-class Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Ark. Practitioners of groundwater management, research and education will explore mutual groundwater issues, exchange ideas and summarize field and laboratory work. Keynote speaker Dr. John Cherry, a leading author and field researcher, will join 40 other speakers from across the Midwest. Traditional sessions include groundwater policy and management, Karst hydrology, groundwater modeling and GIS surface water interaction, as well as research into recent, induced seismic activity in Oklahoma, Kansas and nearby states. Along with walking trails on its 120-acre site, Crystal Bridges has a number of water features sustained by the nearby Crystal Spring, making it an ideal location for the groundwater conference.
