Barylske Resigns, Taking Job With NEA Baptist Clinic
The chief financial officer for the city of Jonesboro announced his resignation Friday.
Ben Barylske, who came to work with the city as chief financial officer in Nov. 2010, will be going to work as the chief financial officer for NEA Baptist Clinic, city communications director Fritz Gisler said.
In a statement Friday morning, Gisler said Barylske has work to streamline the financial management systems of the city.
“His experience with the Arkansas Division of Legislative Audit helped the City achieve a clear financial audit last year. Named Chief Financial Officer of the Year in 2014 by Arkansas Business magazine, Barylske has provided valuable financial guidance for the Administration for nearly five years,” Gisler said.
Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin said Barlyske’s experience has helped the city.
“Ben has been a valuable member of our executive team. His financial management expertise has helped put our city on a sound financial footing, and we have achieved the significant goal of being debt-free. We will miss him and wish him well in his new endeavors,” Perrin said.
Barylske’s last day with the city will be Aug. 13, 2015.
