Austin Jones Bugs Everyone at Hobbs State Park
Summer time is here, and all around us are bugs we may not even be aware of, and certainly we are not familiar with all of their strange names. Have you ever heard of Toadbugs and Scorpionflies? Mantispids and Pseudoscorpions? Hellgrammites and Mole Crickets? No these aren’t bizarre mutants cooked up in a laboratory, but rather creatures found right here in Arkansas!
Austin Jones, bug specialist at Northwest Arkansas Community College, will explain to your entire family what it means to be a bug. He will share some fun facts about many of the thousands of common and uncommon summertime Ozark arthropods that can be seen on long summer days right here in the Natural State.
If you want to be bugged by Austin Jones, don’t miss his program, Bug Days of Summer, at Hobbs State Park.
