Bentonville Chamber Hosting Student Business Event
The Bentonville/Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce is hosting the first ever Biz + Ed2 Conference June 23.
The event will be held at Bentonville High School and will include opportunities for students and businesses to collaborate to solve “real world” business problems through the use of technology.
Northwest Arkansas high school students will compete and the winning team will receive $1,000 for the continued development of their business solution. The team will also be awarded a two-week paid internship.
Winners of the competition will have the opportunity to present their idea to a professionals at the Tech Summit in November at the John Q. Hammons Center.
In addition to the student challenge, businesses will have the opportunity to attend break out seminars on a variety of relevant topics.
The keynote speaker for the event is Rick Webb, Senior Vice-President of Global Processes with Walmart. A presentation on the Lean Canvas approach to developing business plans or solving problems within your business will be led by Jeff Amerine, Founding Principal of Startup Junkie Consulting.
