Clack Picked As Craighead County Elections Coordinator

A woman with a bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis was selected Tuesday to serve as the Craighead County Election Coordinator, County Judge Ed Hill said.
Jennifer Clack was offered the job and has accepted the position of Elections Coordinator.
Hill said Clack, who will be in charge of the day-to-day operations for the Craighead County Election Commission, provided officials a strong reason to hire her.
“After further reviewing résumés and taking into consideration discussions from the interview process, I found Ms. Clack to be highly qualified for the position. I think she will provide the attention to detail required by the process, the commitment to public service that is required for County employees, and the integrity that is required of an Elections Coordinator. She has the personality and skills that I am confident will make her an asset to the Election Commissioners,” Hill said of Clack.
The commission made up of Jeannette Robertson, Ericka Krennerich Chudy and Keith Chrestman reviewed nearly 20 resumes of people interested in the job.
Hill said the commission did an excellent job of winnowing down the field.
“After reviewing résumés and interviewing many qualified individuals, the Election Commissioners provided the County Judge’s Office a slate that included three excellent candidates for final consideration. I appreciate the Election Commissioners and have full confidence in the process utilized to advertise the job announcement, review of submitted applicant credentials, and interviews of candidates over the last several weeks,” Hill said. “I applaud their efforts to ensure I was included in every step of the selection process. I particularly enjoyed the interaction with candidates during the interviews.”
Hill said Clack has the leadership and communications capabilities for the job.
“She is an excellent communicator with a proven track record of providing oversight in the work environment. She will make an excellent addition to the elections team,” Hill said.
