Nearly three-fourths of the state has been impacted by winter weather that has included snow, sleet, ice and freezing rain across Arkansas.

Entergy Arkansas, the Electric Cooperatives, state Highway Department officials and others are on red alert to handle problems caused by the frozen precipitation.

Although a state holiday, there were some state personnel required to report for work on Monday. However, Gov. Asa Hutchinson has implemented the state’s inclement weather policy and closed all offices on Monday, February 16, 2015 in the Little Rock metropolitan area.
