Inventors Club Of Northeast Arkansas To Host February Meeting On Thursday
A group of prospective inventors will hear Tuesday from two men with ties to marketing and building start-up companies for the future.
Steve Trotter and Dr. Brian Rogers will speak to the Inventors Club of Northeast Arkansas at 6 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 17) at Wild Hog BBQ on Highland Drive in Jonesboro.
Trotter owns Nectar, a Jonesboro digital agency that specializes in branding and marketing for small businesses while Rogers works with the Catalyst Innovation Accelerator program at Arkansas State University.
Trotter is also co-founder of a group called Jonesboro Co-working, event organizers said. The group provides office space for designers and developers in the Jonesboro area.
The Catalyst program offers business services, executive office suites, conference space as well as lab facilities for science and innovation based ventures, officials said.
The meeting Tuesday will include dinner at 6 p.m., followed by an hour long question and answer session with Trotter and Rogers.
People interested in attending the meeting can call Jim Melescue at 870-761-3191 or Robert Bahn at 870-972-3517.
The Inventors Club of NE Arkansas was formed in 2014 as a cooperative effort by the A-State SBTDC and 3D Precision Enterprises, LLC to help inventors take their ideas from concept to commercialization.
Their resources include business consultants, CAD designers, engineers, manufacturers, patent attorneys and marketing groups.
The group is also building a network of experts to provide the capability inventors need to review, patent, design, manufacture, and market their ideas.
