Dennis Hunt has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Manager of Stephens Inc.’s Public Finance Division.

He succeeds Mark McBryde, who is stepping down after 40 years at Stephens Inc., but he will continue to serve as an advisor to the division. McBryde and Hunt have worked together closely for more than two years to accomplish a successful transition, the Little Rock-based investment firm said.

“We are fortunate that we were able to promote from within our own ranks,” Stephens Inc. Chairman, President & CEO Warren Stephens. “Our Public Finance group is one of the oldest divisions of the firm, dating back more than 80 years. Mark has managed the division for the last 20 years, growing our presence across the Southeast. Dennis has led a successful effort for us for several years in Northwest Arkansas. Our clients and our staff know Dennis, and we are pleased to have him succeed Mark.”

Since 1993, Hunt has served as an investment banker and Public Finance manager in Stephens’ Northwest Arkansas office. He has extensive experience in municipal financings, having served as the Senior Banker to issuers throughout Arkansas.

Over the last few years, he has structured more than $2 billion in tax exempt and taxable bond issues.
