Last Saturday featuring Willi Goehring, Whitney Wasson, Dividend, and Doug Shields

Last Saturday is a fast paced variety show featuring the best performance and visual arts in northwest Arkansas! The night will feature local performers with diverse talents, entertaining you in 10 minute featurettes. Our featured local artists for this month are:

 

Willi Goehring – multi-instrumentalist and ozark folklorist 

Whitney Wasson – comedienne

Dividend – band of delicious space rock goodness

Doug Shields – performance poet

 

In addition, we'll have the Word War, an audience-judged entertainment competition! Each person who signs up gets two 3-minute slots to entertain the audience with their own original words – poetry, comedy, singing, any vocal performance at all except NO COVERS. Entertainers will be judged olympic-style by five randomly selected audience members, and the highest scores at the end of the night win $50! This month our Word War is extra special, because it will feature previous winners all trying to make a spot onto our competitive team, who will travel to entertainment competitions all over the country!

 

All of this will take place against the backdrop of art at the Fayetteville Underground art gallery.

 

This event is FREE! All ages are welcome, though there may be some adult language. There will also be a donations bar with alcohol and soda. Doors at 7, show at 7:30
