Museum Open House to Feature Local Collectors
The Shiloh Museum’s seventh annual “Cabin Fever Reliever” open house will take place Saturday, January 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the museum. The event will feature displays by some two dozen local collectors. Among the collections to be shown are sad irons, "Gone with the Wind" collectibles, baseball cards, antique Japanese fishing equipment, hand tools, glass figurines, Civil War miscellany, chalk dogs, Flow Blue china, postcards, pencil sharpeners, frogs, gorillas, tatting, invalid feeders, hand fans, and cameo jewelry.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to view Settling the Ozarks, the museum's new permanent exhibit focusing on the 1820s-1860 era. Marie Demeroukas, the museum's photo archivist and curator for the exhibit, will be stationed in the exhibit to discuss that period in Ozark history.

The Shiloh Museum is located at the corner of Johnson and Main in downtown Springdale. For more information, call 750-8165.
