Tolbert: Obama Makes It Clear His Policies Are On The Ballot
You have probably already seen this video of President Obama from a few days ago. It was in a speech where he tried to lay out a case that the economy is not really that bad and we are about to turn a corner if you will just let his policies work.
“I am not on the ballot this fall,” said Obama. “But make no mistake: [my] policies are on the ballot. Every single one of them. This isn’t some official campaign speech or political speech. And I am not going to tell you who to vote for although I think it is kind of implied.”
So there you have it — through all the spin, all the attack ads, and the campaigns’ back-and-forth — the President sums it up: if you want to vote for his policies, vote Democrat. If you want to vote against his policies, vote Republican. Your choice.
