Rutledge Files New Voter Registration With Secretary Of State Mark Martin
GOP Attorney General candidate Leslie Rutledge filed a new voter registration form with Secretary of State Martin on Friday afternoon, but she made clear she was doing it under protest.
Rutledge was kicked off the Pulaski County voter rolls earlier this week after Pulaski County Clerk Larry Crane determined she was registered as a voter out of state.
“I am filing this application under protest, solely because the Pulaski Circuit/County Clerk’s office has informed me that, unless I do so, Pulaski Circuit/County Clerk’s office will prohibit me from exercising my fundamental constitutional right to vote in the upcoming election. I continue to contest Pulaski Circuit/County Clerk’s office initial decision to remove me from the voter registration rolls despite my status as a duly eligible and qualified registrant,” Rutledge wrote in a letter to Martin.
