Hutchinson Eclipses Ross Fundraising In August
Republican gubernatorial candidate Asa Hutchinson out raised his Democratic opponent, Mike Ross, in August while Ross has raised more for the cycle.
Hutchinson reported raising $420,520 during the month and spent $582,483. He reported $667,010 cash on hand at the end of August.
Ross reported $370,197 in contributions for August and spent $406,320 in expenses. Ross had $307,538 in cash at the end of the month.
For the current election cycle, Ross has raised $5.665 million, according to his campaign contribution and expenditure report. Hutchinson has raised $3.464 million in the race.
Libertarian Frank Gilbert and Green Party nominee Joshua Drake have also qualified for the November Governor’s race.
