Three NWA professionals tapped for UAMS cancer board
The board of directors of the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences announces the election of three new members from Northwest Arkansas.
The new members are Cameron Smith of Bentonville and Denise and Dr. Hershey Garner of Fayetteville.
Smith is president of Cameron Smith & Associates Inc., an executive search firm he founded in Bentonville in 1994. In 2010, Smith began a second company, CSA Outplacement & Career Coaching, to assist companies during layoffs and downsizing.
Denise Garner serves as president of Complements Properties, LLC, and Brick House Kitchen/Kafe and as a partner in Noodles Italian Kitchen. She also is founder and chair of the hunger relief organizations FeedFayetteville.org and FeedCommunities.org.
Hershey Garner, J.D., M.D., is board certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology and serves as a radiation oncologist at Highlands Oncology Group. He is a graduate of the UAMS College of Medicine and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law.
