Analyzing The Ads
A slew of new TV ads in Arkansas’ high-profile U.S. Senate and Governor races debuted last week.
As candidates and third party groups seek to sway undecided or persuadable voters, the ads range from very positive to hard-hitting and negative.
In this week’s political roundtable on Talk Business & Politics, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette columnist John Brummett, Independent Arkansas columnist Steve Brawner, and KATV’s lead capitol reporter Janelle Lilley joined host Roby Brock for a conversation on the ads.
The ads included:
Mark Pryor campaign – “Cancer”
Tom Cotton campaign – “Hypocrisy”
Asa Hutchinson campaign – “Ella Beth”
Democratic Governors Association – “Wasn’t Enough”
You can watch the full roundtable discussion with Brummett, Brawner, Lilley and Brock in the video below. It also includes a web extra conversation on Mitt Romney’s visit to Arkansas last week, Nate Steel’s Attorney General legislative package, and the push to abolish the Lt. Governor’s office.
