Rain Barrel Workshop

Katie Teague and Jane Maginot of The University of Arkansas’s Cooperative Extension Service will be teaching a Make-and-Take Rain Barrel Workshop at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area.   A rain barrel simply harvests rainwater from rooftops.  They capture rainwater as a free alternative to using tap water for watering yards and gardens.  They are inexpensive, easy to maintain and are applicable to residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

Where:  Hobbs State Park visitor center parking lot:  The visitor center is located on Hwy 12 just east of the Hwy 12/War Eagle Road intersection.

When:  Saturday May 10, 2014       2-3:30 p.m.

Cost:  $25.   Pre-registration and payment is required.
