NW Health Bentonville names new ER director

Dr. Danelle Richards, a board certified emergency medicine physician, was recently appointed the medical director for the emergency department at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville.


Richards graduated from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Kansas City. She completed her emergency medicine residency at Truman Medical Center also in Kansas City.

“I am keen on always assuring the highest quality and safety in the care we provide in the emergency department,” Richards said. “I am also excited to be part of facility and system that is chest pain accredited for cardiac care as well as the stroke program we have in place here.”

Board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, Richards has worked as an emergency medicine physician for 17 years serving as emergency department medical director for five and as EMS medical director for three. She served as the medical director of the Emergency Medicine Response Agency for 11 years.
