Mather chosen an interim director for Main Street Rogers
The board of directors for Main Street Rogers recently announced Dana Mather will serve as the interim director of the nonprofit organization. Mather has served as the organization’s events and promotions coordinator since 2011.
The board named an interim director to assume leadership of the organization upon the resignation of executive director Kerry Jensen on Oct. 15. Board chair Mark McCoy has formed a search committee to begin the process of hiring a new director.
Mather came to Main Street Rogers from several positions with the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce, most recently as the senior vice president. At the Chamber, Mather was involved in community development, special events, marketing and communications. She also supervised special projects such as community strategic planning and the accreditation process which resulted in the Chamber’s most recent 5-Star Accreditation rating by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Throughout her 16 years in Rogers, Mather has been an active volunteer with Main Street Rogers and other organizations, and currently serves as a board member of the Rogers Public Education Foundation, the Northwest Arkansas Emerging Leaders, the Mercy Home Health Advisory Board, the Northwest Arkansas Tourism Association, and the Arkansas Festivals and Events Association.
