Elizabeth Richardson Center 50th Anniversary Ribbon Cutting
The Elizabeth Richardson Center (ERC) will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a ceremonial ribbon cutting by the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce and a proclamation from Mayor Lioneld Jordan. The event will take place on September 19 at 10:00 am at ERC’s Fayetteville Child Development Center located at 1760 N. Woodland.
“As we reflect on and celebrate the past half-century of success, we look to the next 50 years of innovation inspired by the passion and energy that Elizabeth Richardson instilled in the organization from day one.” said John Buck, ERC Executive Director. “She set the standard by building a program guided by current advancements in therapy and education, which continues to be the foundation of our approach.”
Representatives from Cox Communications will also be presenting a check for $5000 to the Elizabeth Richardson Center. The money will be used to purchase iPads and peripheral equipment to be utilized by the therapists and teachers who work one on one with the students every day.
“Assistive technology, such as iPads, is useful in any early intervention program, but it is especially useful for children with disabilities – especially those on the autism spectrum.” said Kate Lunsford, ERC Marketing Director. “We can’t thank Cox enough for this generous donation and know it will continue to benefit our students for years to come.”
