Beebe announces 38 board, commission appointments

Gov. Mike Beebe on Monday (June 24) announced the following appointments to boards and commissions:

Charlotte Bradley, Hope, reappointed to the Board of Electrical Examiners of the State of Arkansas. Appointment expires June 15, 2017.

Ben Brazzel, Hope, to the State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors. Appointment expires June 1, 2016. Replaces Eddie Hawkins.

Una Carroll, North Little Rock, reappointed to the Universal Newborn Hearing, Screening, Tracking and Intervention Advisory Board. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2016.

Mary Crook, Little Rock, reappointed to the Governor's Developmental Disability Council. Appointment expires June 30, 2018.

Tina Davis, North Little Rock, to the Governor's Developmental Disability Council. Appointment expires June 30, 2018. Replaces Janice Fortner.

David Elam, Danville, to the Arkansas Agriculture Board. Appointment expires August 18, 2013. Replaces Josh Allen.

Jonathan Fulkerson, Marion, reappointed to the Commission on Closing the Achievement Gap in Arkansas. Appointment expires March 15, 2017.

Brad Graham, Portland, reappointed to the Arkansas Catfish Promotion Board. Appointment expires June 30, 2015.

Ronda Gray, Malvern, reappointed to the Governor's Developmental Disabilities Council. Appointment expires June 30, 2018.

David Guntharp, Jonesboro, reappointed to the Arkansas Crime Information Center Supervisory Board. Appointment expires June 30, 2017.

Brian Haggard, Ph.D., Fayetteville, to the Arkansas-Oklahoma Joint Study Committee. Appointment expires Feb. 20, 2016. This is a new position.

Vivian Hoskins, Helena-West Helena, to the Delta Cultural Center Policy Advisory Board. Appointment expires Oct. 1, 2015. Replaces Kinah Brown.

Donna Hutchinson, Rogers, to the Board of Visitors for the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2018. Replaces Julie Mullinex.

Rubye Johnson, Marion, reappointed to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Board of Visitors. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2020.

James "Mike" Jones, Dumas, reappointed to the Housing Trust Fund Advisory Committee. Appointment expires Oct. 12, 2016.

Russell "Rusty" Kinder, Swifton, to the Jackson County Quorum Court, District 1. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2014. Replaces Joe Kinder.

Marty Matlock, Ph.D., Fayetteville, to the Arkansas-Oklahoma Joint Study Committee. Appointment expires Feb. 20, 2016. This is a new position.

Junior Phillips, North Little Rock, reappointed to the Arkansas Towing and Recovery Board. Appointment expires June 22, 2016.

Darrell Pickney, Hoxie, to the Board of Developmental Disabilities Services. Appointment expires Jan. 15, 2020. Replaces Ron Carmack.

Frank Richardson, Osceola, reappointed to the Arkansas Northeastern College Board of Trustees. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2018.

Patti Rogers, Greenbrier, to the Arkansas Independent Living Council. Appointee serves at the will of the governor. Replaces Cheryl Vines.

Herman Shirley, North Little Rock, reappointed to the State Board of Optometry. Appointment expires April 26, 2018.

Steven Smith, Mountain Home, reappointed to the Arkansas Deaf and Hearing Impaired Telecommunications Services Corporation. Appointment expires June 1, 2016.

Kathryn Spinks, Conway, to the Arkansas Occupational Therapy Examining Committee. Appointment expires March 1, 2018. Replaces Jackie Henderson.

Mary Thoma, Siloam Springs, reappointed to the Arkansas Towing and Recovery Board. Appointment expires June 22, 2016.

William Troutt, Lake Village, reappointed to the Arkansas Catfish Promotion Board. Appointment expires June 30, 2015.

Tommy Walker, Little Rock, reappointed to the Arkansas Deaf and Hearing Impaired Telecommunications Services Corporation. Appointment expires June 1, 2016.

William Watson, Fayetteville, to the Arkansas Scenic Resources Preservation Coordinating Committee. Appointment expires Oct. 1, 2015. Replaces Randy Mizell.

Donna White, Murfreesboro, to the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners. Appointment expires Sept. 1, 2017. Replaces Ryan Solomon.

Joseph Williamson, Lake Village, reappointed to the Arkansas Catfish Promotion Board. Appointment expires June 30, 2015.
