Teen Screendance Film Workshop
Jessica Vokoun, dancer, choreographer, professor and curator of the Oklahoma Dance Film Festival will lead a workshop for high school-aged dancers, introducing the genre of “screendance.” Participants will explore movement and space as it relates to the camera frame, and dance as a visual medium. They will play with choreographing the camera as a partner of the dance, versus static observer. Some cameras will be available for use – participants may bring their own video camera, if they like (we will not be using cell phone cameras). Dancers should arrive in dancewear appropriate for our public space. $40, register online or at Guest Services.
