Harps and Smart Chicken donate to NWA Food Bank
Springdale-based Harps Food and Smart Chicken will donate approximately 8,600 pounds of chicken to the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank on Tuesday (Dec. 18). This donation marks ten years of giving to the local food bank.
“I would like to say a huge thank you to the management and store team members at Harps for supporting the Smart Giving program,” said Joe Horvath with Smart Chicken.
The local food bank has distributed more than six million pounds of food this year.
“Protein is the hardest and most needed item to get for the hungry. The annual Smart Chicken donation is a gift that is so needed and we can't say thank you enough to Harps, Smart Chicken and all those that work hard to make this donation happen," said Marge Wolf, president of the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank.
