The Art of Crystal Bridges documentary film premiere
The Art of Crystal Bridges, documentary film premiere
Friday, November 9, 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Presented by Communications Director Laura Jacobs and including a discussion with the filmmaker Larry Foley
Just in time for our first anniversary, join us for the public premiere of this documentary film about the birth of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, followed by a discussion with the Emmy-award winning documentarian, Larry Foley, and his production team. Attend the night in style with a red carpet photo station and beverage service.
The Art of Crystal Bridges tells the fascinating story behind the Museum's founding and development. Interviews with Museum curators and designers, as well as with architect Moshe Safdie and Museum founder Alice Walton provide insights into Crystal Bridges' remarkable collection, striking architecture, and breathtaking natural grounds and trails from the people who made it happen. A delight to the senses with narration by the inimitable Mary Steenburgen, an original music score by James Greeson, the high definition film The Art of Crystal Bridges takes viewers on a visual journey –from construction to completion—of the first major museum devoted to American artwork to open in half a century. This film is made possible by J.P. Morgan.
The film is free. Online reservations are required as space is limited. The screening is located in the Great Hall. Beverages will be available for purchase. Doors open at 6 pm.
