U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor announces divorce
U.S. Senator Mark Pryor (D) and his wife, Jill, are divorcing after 20 years of marriage.
Pryor, 49, who will stand for re-election in 2014, has been a U.S. Senator since 2002.
“Today, my wife, Jill, and I have filed for divorce. This was a mutual decision between the two of us. This is a private matter for our family and during this painful time, Jill and I would appreciate your privacy, understanding, and your prayers, especially for our children,” Pryor said in a statement provided to Talk Business.
Pryor, a former Attorney General, state legislator and son of former U.S. Senator David Pryor (D), has two children, Adams and Porter.
