Arvest Bank recently announced the promotion of Julie Shook to sales manager at Arvest Bank in Springdale.

Shook, who has extensive banking and management experience, has been with Arvest Bank for 18 years.  She has served as senior vice president and branch administrator at Arvest Bank in Springdale, where she was responsible for growth and profitability with an emphasis on retail sales and branch development, for the past 10 years.

“Julie Shook’s knowledge of retail banking, coupled with her charisma, leadership skills, strong ethics and community focus, made her a natural choice to head up our sales and service efforts in the Springdale market,” said Lisa Ray, President of Arvest Bank in Springdale.

Shook began her career with Arvest in 1994 as a financial service representative at the Berryville branch. Three years later, she joined Arvest Bank in Springdale as a teller and worked her way up to branch manager, vice president and financial services manager and senior vice president and branch administrator, a position she took in 2003.

Shook is active in her community, serving as vice president of the PTA at Walker Elementary School in Springdale; as an active member of the Springdale Chamber of Commerce; and as a current board member and numerous leadership positions for the local Executive Women International group.

Shook is a graduate of Berryville High School and attended North Arkansas Community College in Harrison. She successfully completed several banking and management programs, and is a 2007 graduate of the Walton Institute.
