Fort Smith companies behind ‘American Airgunner’ show
The effort of two Fort Smith-based companies will soon be on television.
Umarex USA and 5 Star Productions, both of Fort Smith, have worked since fall of 2011 on a TV Show calledThis coming Wednesday, June 27th, the 2012 season of American Airgunner, sponsored by Umarex, begins airing on The Pursuit Channel, a station available as part of the basic packages of all DISH Network and DIRECTV subscribers.
This season American Airgunner takes viewers on hunts with large bore airguns and pellet rifles, shows viewers what goes on in the world of airguns at a couple of trade shows, including an airgun show in Malvern, Ark., and hosts the first-ever Airgunner Challenge which was filmed at Old Fort Gun Club.
In the first episode of American Airgunner, viewers will meet eight contestants, from the Fort Smith and Northwest Arkansas areas, who will compete in the first Airgunner Challenge. They will shoot custom targets in a timed event with an Umarex provided Magnum Research CO2 pellet pistol and a compressed air powered Walther Dominator. The contestants will compete during the 14-week season.
American Airgunner airs on the Pursuit Channel on Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m. Central, Fridays at 12:30 a.m. Central, Primetime on Fridays at 7:30 p.m. Central and is produced by 5 Star Productions.
The Pursuit Channel is available via DISH Network channel 240, DIRECTV channel 608 and select cable networks.
