Seriously chocolate
The nationally acclaimed Chocolate Lovers' Festival at the Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center in Eureka Springs is not just for chocoholics; it’s for professional and amateur sweets chefs who are not afraid to be judged.
The event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 11) will feature cakes, cookies, ice cream, several dipping fountains, beverages and more. Chocolate novelty items and body products will be on display, as well. Vendors will showcase and promote their products while offering gourmet and homemade chocolate take-home samples to those who attend.
A panel of celebrity judges will decide the “best of” winners in both amateur and professional categories. Best Decorated Cake, Best Candy and Best Dessert will be decided among the professionals. Best Decorated Cake and Most Creative Dessert will be awarded to amateur adults. Youth will compete for Best Brownie, Best Candy and Best Cookies.
Exhibitors will also compete for Most Attractive Exhibitor Booth and the People’s Choice Award for Best Exhibitor Chocolate, decided by festival-goers.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children six and under. Proceeds benefit several nonprofits in Eureka Springs and southwest Missouri.
