Skyline Report Scaled Back to Twice Per Year

The frequency of the Arvest Skyline Report is being reduced by fifty percent, economist Kathy Deck said Wednesday.

The report, which analyzes the commercial, single-family residential and multifamily residential property market in Benton and Washington counties, will now be released just twice a year.

The reports are sponsored by Arvest Bank and conducted by the Center for Business and Economic Research in the Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas.

The reports had been provided quarterly since 2004 as a way to keep up with the flourishing real estate activity in the two-county area.

CBER researchers collect and analyze data from local governments, property managers, visual inspections and the business media to provide a complete picture of the status of property markets in the two-county area.

Deck, who heads up the CBER and is the lead researcher for the Skyline Report, said the change in frequency is in reaction to the market’s reduced activity.

Reports for 2012 are due out in March and again in August.
