Retail Research Center to Hold Industry Conference
The University of Arkansas’ Center for Retailing Excellence in the Sam M. Walton College of Business will hold its 11th annual conference on emerging trends in the retail industry Nov. 2.
“Reality of Retail” is designed for members of the retail and supplier industry, and will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development on the UA campus.
CRE director Claudia Mobley said the maximum capacity of 300 guests have registered for the event.
The program includes the following keynote speakers:
• Doug McMillon, president and CEO, Wal-Mart International
• Duncan Mac Naughton, executive vice president, chief merchandising officer, Wal-Mart U.S.
• Kermit Crawford, president, pharmacy, health and wellness division, Walgreens
• Dina Howell, worldwide chief executive officer, Saatchi & Saatchi X
• Kathy Deck, director, Center for Business and Economic Research, Sam M. Walton College of Business.
