Murphy Arts District (MAD) has added several artists to its September 2017 grand opening lineup, including Hunter Hayes, a five-time Grammy nominee and 2012 Country Music Association (CMA) New Artist of the Year, and Arkansas native Ashley McBryde, one of Rolling Stone magazine’s 2017 10 New Artists You Need To Know, MAD announced on Friday (July 7). Both performers have been added to the Saturday, Sept. 30 lineup.

Chase Bryant will also open for headliner Brad Paisley, who has  won three Grammy Awards, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 14 CMA Awards, and two American Music Awards, according to a MAD press release.

ZZ Top will also perform. The full lineup can be found on www.eldoMAD.com. Tickets will go on sale sometime this month.

“Our strategy is to bring a wide variety of hot, emerging and current artists to southern Arkansas,” Mark Givens, vice president of entertainment, said in the release, “and I’m committed to surprising people in this part of the country with the kind of quality music and performances we’re going to be booking.”

More than 20 bands are slated to give free performances on stages around Union Square, in downtown El Dorado. These performances are part of the 30th anniversary celebration of Music Fest, a seven-time Arkansas Festival of the Year, according to the release.
