Scott Huff, executive vice president of consumables and health and wellness at Wal-Mart Stores, will exit the retailer by June 1.

Huff joined Wal-Mart in 1994 as an intern and spent more than seven years as a buyer before being elevated into middle and then senior management roles such as vice president of merchandising for snack and beverages to senior vice president and general merchandising manager for consumables. He was promoted to executive vice president in 2014 overseeing the merchandise operations.

Hayes has been chief merchandising, marketing and supply chain officer at Walmart China since September 2015 and based in China. She previously worked in merchandising and marketing positions with Walmart U.S. and Sam’s Club since 2009. Prior to that she held merchandising leadership roles at Lowe’s. She also spent seven years as vice president of marketing for Hanesbrands Inc., a supplier to Wal-Mart.

Hayes graduated cum laude with a sociology degree from Wake Forest University in 1990. She also earned an MBA, with honors, from the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest in 1994.
