Adair Creative is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year by moving to a new home.

The downtown Bentonville creative agency, currently in leased space at 215 S. Main St., broke ground in March on a four-story, 17,415-square-foot building at 307 S. Main St. The building, a few blocks south of the square, is scheduled to be finished in November.

“We’ve been having some growing pains for the last three or four years and have really been looking for what’s next,” said co-founder and owner David Adair. “We looked at several options, but we knew we wanted to stay in downtown Bentonville.”

Through an entity called Neuebox LLC, Adair and business partner Zach Kennedy bought the 0.25-acre lot in January 2016 for $325,000. Adair Creative will occupy about 3,900 square feet in the new building — tripling its amount of current office space — and the remainder is available for sublease to other commercial tenants. The building will offer up to eight individual commercial units with retail space on the first floor.

Oelke Construction Co. is the general contractor and Modus Studio is the designer. Legacy National Bank of Springdale is providing financing with an 11-year mortgage of $2.39 million.

Adair Creative offers web design, advertising and video services. It’s owned by Adair, his wife, Meredith, and Kennedy. Adair founded the business from his home in 2007. The company has been on Main Street for the past eight years and now has 15 employees. Last year the company worked with more than 100 clients, ranging from Wal-Mart Stores and Sam’s Club, Scott Family Amazeum and the city of Bentonville.

“When we see all the development happening everywhere around us, it makes us so proud that we will have our own Main Street address,” Adair said. “To have a building here will hopefully be a catalyst for growth.  Not just for us but for other tenants.”
