Little Rock PR firm gets contract with Speakman Co.

The Communications Group of Little Rock has been chosen as the public relations agency of record for Delaware-based Speakman Co., a 148-year-old industrial manufacturer of showering, plumbing and emergency products.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed. Dan Cowling, president of The Communications Group, said his firm was selected through a competitive process to choose an agency for the industrial side of Speakman’s business.
“We looked for a PR firm with specific expertise in manufacturing and industrial media relations to catapult our emergency equipment business,” Kristin Barclay, vice president, product and marketing for Speakman, said in a statement. “There aren’t a lot of agencies with that kind of industrial business-to-business focus out there.”
The Communications Group’s iB2B Group, led by agency partner Dane Cowling, will lead the industrial PR work for Speakman.
“We’re incredibly honored to be working with their marketing team,” said Cowling (brother of agency president, Dan). He added that agency has 29 years of industrial manufacturing specialization and “long-standing relationships” with the industrial trade media.
