Forty Under 40: Jennifer Apolskis

Jennifer Apolskis, 32, grew up in North Little Rock and earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Arkansas in 1990.

From 1991 to 1994, she was a community relations representative for United Blood Services in Fort Smith. From 1994 to 1996, Apolskis worked as specialty leasing director for Warmack and Co. in Fort Smith. From 1996 to 1998, she was events manager for the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville.

Apolskis went to work for Community Blood Center in Springdale in July 1998. She does field work with hospitals, communities, businesses, organizations and the local media to educate the public and help assure a safe and adequate blood supply for 30 hospitals in Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri.

Apolskis has been busy with several community activities. She was in the Leadership Fayetteville class of 1997-98 and served as a committee member in 1999. She was a board member of Junior League of Northwest Arkansas in 1997-98 and is corporate development chairman for 1999-2000. Apolskis is a board member of the Fayetteville Northside Rotary Club. She is also a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Conference and Fellowship Bible Church.

Apolskis’ philosophy is, “Walk worthy of the Lord. Be fruitful in every good work. Go to bed at night and say, ‘I did the best I could do today.'”
