Annetta Tirey has been named as the new executive director of development for the NorthWest Arkansas Community College Foundation in Bentonville.
Steven Hinds, executive director of public relations and marketing, confirmed on Thursday Tirey will transition to NWACC over the coming weeks from her role as director of corporate social responsibility at Tyson Foods in Springdale.
Tirey has worked at Tyson for the past 22 years, according to her LinkedIn page.
She has been director of corporate social responsibility for eight years. In that position, Tirey was tasked with awarding grants and aligning the company’s philanthropic efforts with its business interests.
NWACC’s former executive director of development, Meredith Brunen, left earlier this month after 10 years for a job as associate vice president of university advancement at the University of West Florida in Pensacola.
