Arkansas Insurance Commissioner Allen Kerr has granted authority to two companies to offer insurance products in Arkansas.
Motorists Life Insurance Company (MLIC) of Columbus, Ohio, a regional life insurer, will offer individual life and annuity products such as whole life, universal, term and final expense. It has one affiliate licensed in Arkansas, Consumers Insurance USA, Inc.
OBI America Insurance Company (OBI), a property and casualty insurer based in Harrisburg, Penn., has been given authority to offer workers’ compensation coverage.
Kerr has issued 13 certificates of authority this year and issued 14 certificates in 2015.
