Alex Blass is the youngest employee of Sage Partners LLC to make partner.

Two years ago, Blass was one of six partners who founded sister company, Sage Asset Solutions.

The asset and property management team manages 2.43 million SF of office space in Northwest Arkansas and central Arkansas. The team nearly doubled the amount it manages in late April, from 1.25 million SF.

“We started at zero two years ago,” Blass said.

While he can’t release revenue numbers, he said the company has grown 236 percent between 2014 and 2015.

Blass has worked for Sage Partners for five years.

Sage Asset Solutions was started because of a need to manage commercial properties, such as the 270,000-SF Bentonville Plaza, Blass said.

In Northwest Arkansas, the business includes more office space, but in Little Rock, it’s more retail and industrial properties.

“I’m originally from Little Rock,” he said. His family worked in commercial real estate there.

In 2006, he moved to Northwest Arkansas to attend the University of Arkansas.

While in college, he started Apollo Event Group and grew the business into a full-scale event production and planning office.

In 2010, he graduated with bachelor’s degrees in marketing management and small-business entrepreneurship and a minor in real estate finance.

Blass said he worked for vendors of Wal-Mart Stores Inc., but the work didn’t suit him.

As a member of Sigma Chi fraternity, he found out about Sage Partners on recommendation from a brother of a fraternity brother. A month and a half later he was hired as a broker. He said the interview process is important because having good culture in the company is valued.

Blass is executive broker for the Sage Partners business office in Bentonville.

He and his wife live in Fayetteville but plan to move to Rogers next year.

“I’ve fallen in love with the area,” Blass said. “There’s so much exciting stuff happening in Northwest Arkansas.”

In his free time, he rides street bicycles and plays golf and tennis.

Blass, an Eagle Scout, has served on the following boards: Paint the Town Red, Children’s Safety Center and Sigma Chi Advisory Board.
