Dr. Jay Barth, professor of political science at Hendrix College, and Clint Reed with Impact Management Group, were guests on this week’s edition of Talk Business & Politics, which airs Sundays at 9 a.m. on KATV Ch. 7.
Barth and Reed analyzed the state of the Presidential race for 2016 in the wake of appearances this weekend by Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton and controversial GOP candidate Donald Trump.
Trump has been performing well of late – minus his John McCain statement on Saturday – but Reed and Barth warn that with a crowded Republican field, establishment of frontrunner status is far from decided.
On the Democratic side, Barth and Reed weigh in on Bernie Sanders’ surprising early strength versus frontrunner Hillary Clinton, but both suggest that money, organization and moderation will win out.
