For those in need of help with big tasks around the house, farm or workplace, the largest rubber band manufacturer in the U.S. is now offering limited quantities of its iconic, stretchable product at most Tractor Supply Co. locations nationwide.

Officials at Hot Springs-based Alliance Rubber Co. said the super-sized rubber bands will be available at Tractor Supply stores for the next six months, and sales results from the trial period will help determine if the bands are added to the permanent product list.

“We believe these hard-working bands will be well-received by Tractor Supply Company’s customers,” said Alliance Rubber Co. President Bonnie Swayze. “Our Supersize Bands are high quality and will get the job done when it comes to meeting large organizational needs. Ballparks, racetracks and manufacturers, along with everyday consumers, rely on this product for a variety of uses.”

Here are just a few of the tasks that the super-sized rubber bands are able to handle, including:

  • Holding liners in 55 gal. drums
  • Keeping box flaps open for loading
  • Bundling rugs, mats and packages
  • Prepping for moving and storage

A year ago, Alliance Rubber expanded its Hot Springs headquarters, adding nearly 15 new jobs through a $600,000 capital investment.

Founded in Alliance, Ohio, in 1923, Alliance has had a presence in Hot Springs since 1944 after its founder, Swayze’s father, William Spencer visited the city for its hot baths. In 1991, the company officially moved its headquarters to Hot Springs and consolidated all of its operations there. Today, the company manufactures 2,200 products distributed in 55 countries, officials said.
