McLarty Automotive Group has acquired Frank Fletcher Honda of Columbia, Mo., which was previously owned by Little Rock native Frank Fletcher.

The Missouri dealership will now be renamed Columbia Honda.

Terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.

“Columbia is a dynamic economy with a wonderful local community, and Honda is a great brand with fantastic products,” said Mark McLarty. “We are excited by the opportunity to grow Columbia Honda from the strong foundation that exists today.”

Stephen Nagel, a native of mid-Missouri, will serve as general manager and partner of Columbia Honda.

“I’m really looking forward to returning to my roots in mid-Missouri and working with the excellent team at Columbia Honda,” said Nagel.

“Nagel is a recognized leader in the industry with an extraordinary track record,” said McLarty. “Successful dealerships are all about people and staying focused on serving the evolving needs of the customer,” said McLarty. “The Columbia Honda team under Nagel’s leadership will excel for many years to come.”

Columbia Honda is McLarty’s second Honda dealership acquisition in the region in the last six months. The other purchase was Landers McLarty Honda in Little Rock, the leading Honda dealership in Arkansas.
