The Arkansas Insurance Department is converting its licensing system and will temporarily pause renewals, appointments and issuances for approximately ten days beginning on October 10, 2014.

The conversion by AID to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners’ State Based Systems will allow new applicants to complete future license applications electronically.

“I urge licensees to submit their renewal paperwork to the department as quickly as possible in order to not be impacted by the conversion process,” said State Insurance Commissioner Jay Bradford.

The department said those most likely to be impacted are individuals and agencies with a health exchange license due at the end of September and agencies which normally renew September 30 and October 1.

Individuals with birthdates from October 1 through October 20 could also see a delay in receiving their license renewal if they do not act in a timely fashion.
