First Federal Bancshares Renames To Bear State Financial

Harrison-based First Federal Bancshares of Arkansas has changed its name to Bear State Financial, Inc. and will alter its ticker symbol for public trading and increase its authorized shares.
The financial institution, which is steered by former Alltel executives including Scott Ford, announced in January that it intended to change its name.
In addition to the name change, the company disclosed that its new ticker symbol on the NASDAQ stock exchange would be “BSF.” It also said that was increasing authorized shares of its stock from 30 million to 100 million.
