by  () 144 views

The Fort Smith Regional Art Museum will be hosting a figure painting workshop on June 4 – 6, 2014 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. In this workshop, the instructor will provide live demonstrations, as well as offer personal instruction and critique.  Students will use a logical sequence of steps to develop their own figure painting of a live model from a monochromatic under painting to a full-color over painting. Stephen’s teaching style is hands-on, positive, and individualized to meet each student’s needs.

Objectives
Stephen Cefalo’s goal for this workshop is to equip students with easy-to-learn skills for building a realistic figure painting, including mechanics of light and shadow, human proportions, value and color, and paint application.

This workshop is $300 for members and $350 for all others. For the artist’s biography and information on how to register visit fsram.org/cefalo/.
