Petrizzo Resigns as CEO of Ozark Guidance

Tom Petrizzo has resigned as chief executive officer of Ozark Guidance in Springdale to take a similar position at Tri-County Mental Health in Kansas City, Mo.
According to a news release issued Thursday by Ozark Guidance chief advancement officer Jane Guyton, Petrizzo submitted his resignation to the board of directors September 29.
“This is an opportunity for me and my wife Teri to be near my daughters and granddaughters who live in the Kansas City area,” Petrizzo wrote in his resignation letter.
Ozark Guidance is a mental health provider for children, adults and families. Petrizzo began his six-year tenure there on December 1, 2007.
A search for a new CEO is under way, led by current and past members of the governing board and the foundation board of trustees.
Guyton said Ozark Guidance staff members would be included in the screening and interview process.
