Vincent DesOrmeaux Memorial Fund established

A memorial fund has been established for Vincent DesOrmeaux, the Southside High School student who collapsed and died Sunday while playing frisbee at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith campus.

The cause of his death is unknown.

The account for the fund is established at First National Bank of Fort Smith and Citizens Bank & Trust in Van Buren. The account is the Vincent DesOrmeaux Memorial Fund with account number 2614823.

Also, the Southside Rebel Theatre will dedicate all three shows of their spring production, “Anything Goes” to honor DesOrmeaux. The show will be held March 15-16 at 7 p.m. and March 17 at 2 p.m.

All performances are at the Southside High School.

DesOrmeaux was scheduled to play one of the main characters in this show. There will be a short presentation before each show and an opportunity for guest to donate to the Memorial Fund.

There will be a memorial service for DesOrmeaux at 3:15 p.m., Friday, at Southside High School. Also on Friday, between 5 and 7 p.m., viewing will be held at Lewis Funeral Home at 4817 Kelley Highway. The funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
