Sparks Health System in Fort Smith has acquired The Urology Group and it will now operate as a division of Sparks.
Drs. Ronald Knobloch, John Lange, and Gerald Wahman, along with Lauren Smith and Jennifer Davenport are now seeing patients as the Sparks Urology Group. The clinic is located at 5500 Ellsworth Road in Fort Smith.
“The Urology Group’s partnership with Sparks will provide an increased ability to recruit new urologists to the area. The recruitment of additional urologists is critical to ensure patients and physicians in the River Valley have continued access to this specialty,” noted the Sparks statement released late Friday (Jan. 11).
Sparks is owned by Naples, Fla.-based Health Management System. HMA operates 70 hospitals with approximately 10,500 licensed beds in non-urban communities located throughout the United States.
