Mother Nature made mince-meat of any efforts for central Arkansans to return to work post-Christmas.

A heavy winter weather storm of ice, snow and sleet brought down power lines leaving nearly 200,000 Arkansans without power for days.

Talk Business offices were hit hard by the storm’s impact. Finding power and being able to access it have been difficult at best.

Entergy Arkansas has been working to restore power to many affected areas of the state – primarily in central Arkansas. As of Thursday afternoon (Dec. 27), more than 130,000 customers were still without power.

Entergy estimated that it may be another 7 or more days before power would return. Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas customers were also affected by power outages and storm damage.

More winter weather is expected to impact Arkansas on Friday and possibly through the weekend.
