The 21c Museum Hotel in Bentonville has started taking reservations for stays on or after March 10.
The art-themed boutique hotel, which has been under construction for the past year, also is taking reservations for weddings, meetings and other events. Located at 200 N.E. A St. just off the downtown square, the $30 million hotel has 12,000 SF of event space.
Modeled after 21c Museum Hotels’ flagship hotel in Louisville, Ky., Bentonville’s will have 104 guest rooms, a 125-seat restaurant and a contemporary art museum.
The company opened its second hotel Nov. 21 in Cincinnati.
21c’s iconic penguins come in different colors at each hotel, and the ones that will populate the Bentonville hotel will be green, according to a news release. Voters made the selection in a contest on Facebook, rejecting alternate choices of fuschia and orange.
The Louisville penguins are red, and Cincinnati’s are yellow.
